Nothing that will threaten your life. But I will lay it out basically on what happened.
If you successfully remove the skin with your mark and heal the wound, the mark will simply reappear. Afterward, somehow, the individual in question will have an affect. I can't say that the affect will be consistent across every person in this resort, but...
[Well, at this point, might as well be forthcoming.]
In my case, I was struck with the severe urge to have sex. Something more than just oh I'm in the mood or my food and drink were drugged -- it was more aggressive than that. It went on for several hours.
[ that's certainly less than ideal. hua cheng hadn't honestly considered trying to remove it mechanically—he had sort of figured if his power couldn't do it, nothing could—but it seems safer to assume that the consequences would be the same whether the removal were surgical or magical. ]
Somehow an unsurprising outcome given what we know of this place, but also certainly a hard-earned lesson. [ that's the closest he gets to sympathy. ] Was this removal the reason behind your request for medical supplies?
[But upon learning what his looked like, Daan quickly became desperate. It agonized him. It still does, but he knows now he can't do anything about it.
Typical, having no control over his life.]
That was part of it. I genuinely would prefer to have my own medical supplies in case I or someone else need them, as I don't trust the people here. But that was one of my goals as well.
I don't mind. [ it is the sort of thing that most anyone back home would already know, after all. ] I was human once, a long time ago. After I died, my spirit lingered and I was reborn first as a malicious ghost, then as a supreme. I take a human shape, but I have no need for air, food, or drink... so I suppose the answer to your question is in fact that my form is in fact the only similarity I have with a mortal human.
Thank you. When I was newly born as a malicious ghost my form was much more obviously inhuman, but I've had 800 years to perfect it at this point, and have in the meantime developed a talent for sculpture, which I'm sure helps.

Little tidbit for you.
Make no attempt to remove your mark that you were given. There will be repercussions.

[ and that's coming from the lord of ghost city. he's seen what ghosts get up to. yeesh. ]
Then I hope your supplies serve you well, if you need them for reasons other than attepting surgery on yourself.

Anyway... yes. They should. Ideally, no one will need a doctor, but at least I have the tools to offer something if needed.

Thank you for the information, young master Daan. I'm thankful that you held up your end of our bargain.

[A little surprised laugh escapes him.] Young master, huh. Just "Daan" is fine, all right?

hua cheng smiles, enough that it's fairly audible in his voice when he speaks. ]
I'm a ghost king. I would give my full title, but if we aren't from the same world, I'm not sure it would mean much to you.

Biologically, what sets you apart from humanity? If I may ask that, of course. I realize it's a bit invasive.

Thank you for letting me nosy about you. I'm not unused to what people call the supernatural and whatnot, but this is a first for me.

[ he sounds surprisingly non-egotistical about that—it is just a simple statement of fact. ]
